Karaoke Night: Matcha and Musicals
June 22nd, 6-8:30pm, Songbird Coffee and Tea House, Phoenix
Karaoke performers and enjoyers of all ages are encouraged to join The 602 Stage and Songbird Coffee and Tea House for a night of singing and fun! The night is filled with light-hearted ballads, fully choreographed numbers, and everything in-between. Not destined for the stage? No problem! Enjoy great performances, downtown atmosphere, and a fully available coffee bar with a featured drink! No sign-up required.
Make Music Day Performance
June 21st, 11am, Arizona Broadway Theatre
Launched in 1982 in France as the Fête de la Musique, Make Music is celebrated on the same day in more than 2,000 cities in dozens of countries around the world.
Completely different from a typical music festival, Make Music is open to anyone who wants to take part. Every kind of musician — young and old, amateur and professional, of every musical persuasion — pours onto streets, parks, plazas, and porches to share their music with friends, neighbors, and strangers. All of it is free and open to the public.
Masterclass: Auditions 101
June 13th, 6:30-9:30pm, Fourth Wall Photo Studio
Headed by Artistic Director Madilyn Marks and Music Director Luke Ottinger, Auditions 101 is a masterclass focused on the groundwork of auditioning. You'll recieve 1:1 coaching, resume formatting, and music book/audition cut suggestions based on your unique talents as a performer. This class is open for everyone but is designed specifically for actors who are new to the community theatre circut or are returning after a break and want a brush up on their skills. At the end of the class we want you to feel confident walking into any audition around the Valley! Learn more about who's teaching the class here.
